Teacher's Course (Subject to availability)

The Dance Summer School is not only for young people and students, the doors of our event are also open for teachers of dance who are looking for more opportunities to observe classes given by very experienced and accomplished teachers and to participate in these lessons if they wish. As well as being able to observe or attend any level of class, every day will have a special session focused on the teaching and discussion of technical elements and/or different points of interest for a teacher's professional development.

Please allow us to provide you with a brief example of this:

One of these classes could be on the use of the arms. Our teacher will work on how to improve this important element in dance whether it is taken in a jazz or classical style. We will discuss the technical requirements needed, the potential problems faced -by both teacher and student- and how to deal with them.

Themes included in our previous summer schools have been:

Teaching Jazz to Young Children

The importance of musicality, dynamics and style when teaching Jazz to young children.

Ideas for Choreography

Inspiring new ways to create choreography through practical tasks and improvisation.

Practical Advice in Training Boys

Understanding the fundamental differences in teaching boys, and how to bring out the best in them.
